Sour Cream Potato Salad

The sour cream potato salad recipe is has a lot of flavor. The ingredients are easy to find.

You will need potatoes, salt, mayonnaise, onion, bacon, sour cream and green onions.

Servings: 4 to 6

Sour cream potatoes


  • 5 or 6 medium potatoes
  • 1 small onion (chopped)
  • 1/4 cup green onions (chopped)
  • 3/4 cup sour cream
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise (regular or vegan mayo)
  • salt (to taste)
  • 4 slices bacon (optional)


  1. First, rinse the potatoes and remove any dark spot that you see.

  2. Cut the potatoes in halves.

  3. Rinse them again.
  4. Put potatoes into a saucepan and cover with water, add some salt.

  5. Boil for about 30 to 40 minutes or until tender.

  6. While the potatoes are ready, cook the bacon in a skillet over low-medium heat until it is brown and crispy. When ready, remove the bacon from heat and crumble.

  7. Then, when potatoes are ready, drain, peel and cut into small cubes.

  8. Next, place potatoes in a separate bowl and add the regular onion, green onions, sour cream, mayonnaise and bacon.

  9. Season with some salt to taste.

  10. Finally, combine all the ingredients and refrigerate for at least 2 hours.
