  • 1 onion (chopped)
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • sour cream (optional)


  1. First, add potatoes in boiling water and cook for 25 minutes or until they are tender.

  2. When ready, drain and mash the potatoes. Be sure that they are soft and tender.

  3. Next, in a large bowl, add the rest of the ingredients and mix (using an electric mixer) until smooth.

  4. Finally, put the mix into a casserole baking dish and bake at 350 degrees Fahrenheit (177°C) for about 35 minutes. 

  5. Then, sprinkle some Cheddar cheese and bake for about 3 to 5 additional minutes.
