WHAT ARE THE PRO AND CONS OF CALCIUM IN POTATOES

by MIRTA
(FLORIDA)

WHAT ARE THE GOOD AND BAD OF CALCIUM IN POTATOES?
WHAT POTATOES ARE GOOD FOR?

Answer:

Hi Mirta,

Calcium in potatoes is good. Actually, is great. There is nothing negative about getting calcium by eating potatoes. I eat potatoes every day and I don't even drink milk, so potatoes are my main source of calcium.

Also, potatoes provide enough carbohydrates and proteins to meet the body needs, among other nutrients.

What potatoes are good for? Let's see :

- Potato nutrients are very easy to digest; and are a very good source of fiber, too.

- Potatoes are "fat free".

- Potatoes have amino acids. This means that you can get proteins and amino acids from potatoes.

- A potato diet can help people to lose weight. Remember to avoid to eat "fried potatoes", it is better to eat them boiled or baked.
