Western Potatoes

The western potatoes is one of the easiest recipes to cook. The recipe can be cooked with a few ingredients.


It is proper for when you want to eat something different and healthy. 

Here is the recipe below:

 

Preparation Time: 25 minutes

Cooking Time: 45 minutes

Servings: 6 to 8

 

Ingredients:

1/2 cup chopped onions  

1/2 cup chopped sweet red peppers  

2 tablespoons margarine (or butter)

1 can condensed cream of celery soup (do not dilute)

1/4 cup milk

1 (4 ounce) can chopped green chilies

1 teaspoon salt

1/8 teaspoon hot pepper sauce

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

7 to 8 medium cooked red potatoes (in cubes)
 

 

  • Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees.

  • Then, grease a 11x7 baking dish.

  • Next, saute the sweet red peppers and onions in butter until tender.

  • It's time now to stir in soup, milk, chilies, salt, and hot pepper sauce and heat through.

  • Add 3/4 cup cheese until melted.

  • Add the red potatoes and stir to coat.

  • Place to a greased baking dish.

  • Then, bake, uncovered, for about 20 to 25 minutes.

  • Sprinkle with remaining cheese and bake for about 5 additional minutes or until cheese is melted.

  • Remember, let stand 10 minutes before serving.
