Twice Baked Potato Recipe

The twice baked potato recipe can be prepared by anyone; yes it is that easy. With just some basic ingredients and an oven, you are ready to start.

 

 

Twice baked potato recipe is a very easy recipe to prepare and cook. Perfect when you want to eat something delicious and also healthy.

   

Preparation Time: 15 to 20 minutes

Cooking Time: 1 hour 20 minutes

4 servings

 

Ingredients:
 

4 baking potatoes

4 slices of cooked, crumbled bacon

1/2 cup sour cream

1/3 cup heavy cream

1/2 cup milk

3 tablespoons butter

1/4 teaspoon salt

1/4 teaspoon pepper

1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese  (divided)

1 green onion (sliced)

 

 

Procedure:

 

  • First, preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Pierce the potatoes with a fork a couple of times. (If you want, you can rub the potatoes with a little salt and olive oil) 
  • Meanwhile, in a separate bowl, combine the cooked bacon, sour cream, heavy cream, milk, butter, salt, pepper, cheese, and onion.
  • Then, when potatoes are ready, let them to cool for about 7 to 10 minutes.
  • Carefully, cut a thin slice off top of each baked potato. Then, scoop out the center and put it in a separate bowl. Now, add it to the mix you had prepared before. 
  •  Mix completely with a hand mixer until it is soft.
  • Finally, spoon the mixture into the potato skins. Top each one with remaining cheese, green onions and bacon if desired.
  • Now, bake for 10 more minutes.
