The sweet potato pie recipe combines ingredients like butter, sugar, milk, eggs, ground nutmeg, vanilla.

Also ground cinnamon, and of course, sweet potatoes. The recipe is very easy and is perfect for any occasion.

Cooking Time: 1 hour

Ingredients:

1 (large) or 2 (medium) sweet potatoes

 1/2 cup butter

 1 1/3 cup sugar

 1/2 cup milk

 2 eggs

 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg

 1 teaspoon vanilla

1 (about 9 inch) unbaked pie crust

1  teaspoon ground cinnamon

  • First, place sweet potatoes in a deep pot, cover with water, and bring to a boil for about 30 to 45 minutes or until sweet potatoes are tender.
  • When ready, let potatoes to cool for a few minutes, remove any dark spot, peel, and mash.
  • Next, in a separate large bowl, put the mashed sweet potatoes and add the rest of the ingredients. Using a mixer, blend all the ingredients until it has a soft consistency.
  • Then, put the mix into an unbaked pie crust and bake at 350 degrees F for about 1 hour. When ready, let it cool before serving.
