Sweet Potato French Fries

The easy sweet potato French fries recipe is ideal, especially if you are looking for a different alternative to the classic French fries recipe.

You will need sweet potatoes, oil, salt and pepper. You can also sprinkle garlic or chili powder over the fries. This recipe is so easy to cook. It is just like cooking French fries.

Cooking Time:  25 minutes

Serving Size: 4 to 6  servings

Ingredients:

  • 4 sweet potatoes
  • oil (canola or olive oil, if possible)
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • garlic or chili powder (optional)

  • Rinse sweet potatoes, peel and slice just like French fries.

  • Put oil in a large skillet, enough to cover the sweet potatoes.

  • Cook (fry) over medium-high heat until sweet potatoes are crispy.

  • When ready, place sweet potatoes fries over paper towels to absorb the excess oil.

  • Season with salt and pepper. If desired, sprinkle some garlic or chili powder, too.
