Russet Potatoes and Dieting

by Christopher
(Richmond)

I am trying to lose some pounds. I eat russet potatoes as a meal..... no other starch or vegetable. No meat. I just eat and I am full.

Smart move or dumb move?

Answer :

Hi Christopher,

First, remember that before starting any kind of diet is recommended to make an appointment with your doctor and have a routine physical exam to be sure that everything is fine.

In my opinion, you can add some other vegetables to your meal. As long as you feel good and get used to it, you can eat potatoes as a meal as long as you want. You can also eat potatoes with carrots(steamed, baked or boiled), sweet potatoes and a little bit of olive oil. It tastes so good!
