How do you freeze potatoes?

by Etta
(Faribault, MN.,US)

I would like to make fries and freeze them for future use.

Answer:

Hello Etta,

It's easy to freeze French fries. First, fry potatoes as usual, but don't let them turn brown, just fry them until tender.

Place them on paper towel to absorb excess oil. Next, let them cool for a few minutes and put them in a plastic bag. Seal the bag and freeze. You can freeze them for up to 45 days.

To reheat fries: Fry in oil as usual or bake at 425 degrees until brown and crispy.
