Some of you may be wondering... what is a crock pot?

A crock pot is an electric cooker that lets you cook food at a low temperature. The general term normally used for the crockpot is slow cooker. Both words are commonly used by many people when referring to the same cooking device.

Preparing meals with a slow cooker is not complicated, if you are going to create varied dishes but don't want to work too much on them; the crockpot recipes are going to be quite useful for that purpose.

Crock pot potatoes recipes can be prepared in any way you like. You can go the easy route, which is putting potatoes in the slow cooker and wait for them to be ready. Yeah, that’s about it. If you like it simple, nothing can be simpler than that. You can also go for the fancy approach if you are cooking for a special event or want to impress your family. Slow Cooker Potato Recipes Done in 4 Steps

Cooking Time: 4 hours 30 minutes

Ingredients:

3 cans of white potatoes (15 oz each)
2 cups of sour cream
10 bacon strips (regular or turkey, make sure to cook and chop them first)
3 red onions (small to medium)
2 cans of condensed cream of celery soup

A slow cooker

Step 1

Choose about 1 or 2 medium size potatoes per person (more if you got group of starving people).

Rinse each potato under running water and scrub them, gently, with a vegetable brush (make sure all the dirt is gone).

You can also use around 3 (15 oz.) cans of white potatoes if you don’t feel like cleaning and peeling potatoes (sometimes I’m lazy too).

Step 2

Now, peel the potatoes and cut them in small pieces (this is actually the toughest part). Remember to remove the sprouts and all green and dark spots (you don’t want any bitter taste).

Step 3

Add the potatoes to the crock pot, and add 2 cups of sour cream, about 10 bacon strips (already cooked and chopped), about 5 medium onions (thinly sliced), and 2 cans of condensed cream of celery soup (or your favorite condensed soup). Remember, do not dilute the soup.

Step 4

Combine all the ingredients and cook in the slow cooker for about 4 to 4 1/2 hours or until the potatoes are tender.

Now you can see how easy is to make potatoes using a slow cooker. I’m pretty sure you didn’t expect it to be that simple but try it and experience other simple crock pot potatoes recipes.
