Potatoes can be quite tasty by themselves but when you add cheese to the mix; the result is always something you will never forget. The scalloped potato dish can be prepared in many different ways. The main feature in the recipe is that the potatoes should be cut in thin slices of about 1/8 of an inch to be able to mix well with the cheese and mushroom soup.

The thickness of the cut may vary slightly according to the specific liking of the cook however, is important to be sure the slices are not too thin or too thick. Remember the amount of potato layers can affect the overall consistency of the recipe. Too many of them and the dish can lose its touch.
