Cheesy Potatoes

It's time to cook delicious cheesy potatoes. Have you ever tried this recipe? If not, this is your chance to try. Here is the recipe below:

                             delicious cheesy potatoes

Preparation Time :    25 minutes

Cooking Time :        1 hour

    6 to 8 servings

Ingredients:

2 pounds red potatoes  (peeled, boiled, cut in slices)

 1  red onion (finely diced)

 4 Tablespoons butter

 1 clove garlic (pressed)

 3 Tablespoon flour

 1 cup chicken broth

 1 cup  milk

 1 cup heavy cream

 1-1/2 cups cheddar cheese

4 ounces cream cheese (cut into small cubes)

 1/8 teaspoon nutmeg

 1 teaspoon thyme leaves (chopped)

 1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese

  • First, cook onion and garlic in butter in low heat, but don't let them brown. Then, add flour and stir constantly for about 3 minutes.
  • Then, add chicken broth and keep stirring constantly; then add milk and heavy cream. Heat until it gets hot. Next, add 1/2 cup of cheddar cheese and 4 ounces of cream cheese. Cook over low heat, stirring constantly until all the cheese has melted.
  • It's time to add thyme, nutmeg, salt, and pepper to taste.

  • Place potatoes in a baking dish.  (It is a good idea to use some  spray oil before placing potatoes into the baking dish). Pour cheese sauce evenly over potatoes. (Do not stir).
  • Next, sprinkle remaining cheddar and parmesan cheese over top.
  • Bake uncovered at 375 degrees F. for about 1 hour or until top turns golden.

Enjoy!
