Can plain small red potatoes be cooked in a slow cooker?

I want to put 3 lbs of small red potatoes in a slow cooker with just olive oil. I don't know if this will work or if I need to put some water in also. How long would it take for them to cook?

Answer :

Hi,

Small red potatoes cook fast compared to other potato varieties. If you want to cook 3 lbs of small red potatoes using a slow cooker, then you need to add some water.

Instead of water you could add 1 can (10 oz.) of your favorite condensed soup, cover, and cook on low for about 6 to 8 hours or until potatoes are tender.
