Cinnamon Baked Sweet Potatoes



The cinnamon baked sweet potatoes are easy to prepare. The traditional sweet potatoes can be served with chicken or turkey as well. Another delicious holiday recipe.

It will become a favorite in no time!

Preparation Time: 5 minutes

Cooking Time: 45 minutes

Servings: 4

Ingredients:

  • 4 medium sweet potatoes (washed)
  • butter
  • 5 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 1/2 tsp of cinnamon 

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit (177°C).

  2. Puncture sweet potatoes with a thin bladed knife or a fork.

  3. Set on baking sheet. Bake for 35 to 45 minutes or until tender.

  4. Mix the sugar and cinnamon in a dry container.

  5. Cut a 1 and a half inch X in the center of each sweet potato.

  6. Using a potholder hold each one and gently press upward until the flesh bursts through the X.

  7. Top with a bit of butter and a tablespoon of the brown sugar and cinnamon mix.

Trying new recipes can be fun and is a great way to start off the season. 
This recipe is so simple. Only a couple of ingredients is enough to prepare a great, easy way to cook sweet potatoes.


Tip:

Let's say that you really want to cook this recipe but you don't have the time to buy and peel, etc. A solution to this problem could be to use a large can of sweet potatoes. It's true that canned vegetables won't taste as good as fresh vegetables but if you are really in a hurry, this can be the perfect solution to cook this amazingly simple side dish.
